George Thomas "Tom" Cook

George Thomas "Tom" Cook, 85, passed away Monday morning, June 8, 2015, at Brian Center in Eden.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 13, at Ayersville Baptist Church, 310 NC Hwy 770 in Mayodan.

Mr. Cook was born February 22, 1930 in Guilford County, NC to the late Andrew Thomas Cook and Louise Ferree Cook. He was a US Army veteran who served in the Signal Corp. Tom was a retired office manager with Liberty Mutual Life Insurance Company.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Joyce Cook, of the home; three children, Brian Thomas Cook and wife, Lisa, Sharon Jean Cook and husband, Dave Campbell and Theresa Joyce Cook and husband, John Kuckku; grandson, Arik Byington; and sister, Emma Ruth Peeler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Leon Cook and sister, Mary Ellen Jones.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Research or Ayersville Baptist Church, 310 NC Hwy 770, Mayodan, NC 27027.
