George "Steve" Steven Bowers

George "Steve" Steven Bowers, 55, of 506 Lake Street in Eden, passed away Tuesday morning, November 8, 2016, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 11, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery.

Steve was born June 24,1961 in Eden, NC.  He graduated from Morehead High School, Class of 1979 and worked for Proctor and Gamble, Inc.  He attended Osborne Baptist Church. Steve enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, riding his motorcycle, camping and living life to the fullest.

He is survived by his mother, Garnetta Grubb Bowers of Eden; daughters, Jessica Gregory and husband, Dwayne, and Lesley Bowers, both of Eden;  seven grandchildren, Jacob, Kaley, Chloe, Emma, Yolanda, Devin, and Katin;  sisters, Vicki Clapp and husband, Chris and Debra Bowers, both of Danbury;  and five nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Bowers.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
