George Richard Minter

George Richard Minter, age 68, of 345 E. Harris Pl. Apt. 108, passed away Monday afternoon, November 23 at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden.

The family has requested there be no formal funeral service or visitation.

He was born January 19, 1947 in the Draper section of Eden to the late Clyde and Ethel Clark Minter. He was a Morehead High School graduate of 1965 and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the North Carolina National Guard. In his early years he was in banking and later was in the entertainment industry.

Surviving are wife Leslie Divine Minter of the home; sons, Scott Minter and wife Mary John of Greensboro, and George "Richie" Minter, Jr. of Durham.
