George Henry Chumley, Jr.

George Henry Chumley, Jr., 57, of 919 Harris Street, passed away Thursday evening, September 30, 2010 at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Chumley was born April 11, 1953 in Danville, VA, son of the late George Henry Chumley, Sr. and Dollie Keattes Chumley. He was a member of Leaksville Christian Church and a fomer employee of Culp Ticking Company. Surviving is his wife, Linda Pelchat Chumley of the home; sons, Charles Kirks and wife, Melissa of Keeling, VA and Gary Kirks and wife, Nicole of Danville, VA; daughter, Anna Lewis Flint and husband, Kevin of Eden; sister, Mable Chumley of Pehlam; six grandchildren, Steven Elliot, Sara Elliot, Hannah Kirks, Cecilia Flint, Branson Flint and Emily Flint; and special friends, Ray and Rene Wagoner of Stoneville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Forrest Chumley; and sister, Audrey Chumley. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 3rd at ht home of his daughter and son-in-law, Anna & Kevin Flint, 270 Michelle Lane in Eden.
