Geoffrey Thacker

Geoffrey James Thacker, 71, of Eden, NC passed away Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at his home.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, September 27th at True Hope Church in Eden, with burial to follow in the True Hope Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening September 26th at Fair Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, as well as other times at the home.

Geoffrey was born January 9th, 1952 in Eden, NC to the late Walter Thacker, Sr. and Mildred Hall Thacker. Before retiring he worked at Virginia Solite Quarry where he was a machine operator. Geoffrey had a passion for the outdoors. He loved fishing and camping and spending time with his grandkids. He was a big fan of racing and was truly a family man who loved spending time with them.

Surviving Geoffrey are his wife, Marsha Kennon Thacker of the home; sons, Tim Thacker and wife, Lori of Eden, Neal Stegall of Eden, Randy Sheckells and daughter, Laurie Thacker of Eden; brothers, Walter Thacker, Jr and wife, Nancy of Eden, Kenny Thacker and wife, Peggy of Eden; five grandchildren, Aria Stegall, Victoria Martin, Schuyler, Kali and Kale Davis as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
