Geneva Hope Benton Slaughter, 75, passed away Saturday, December 17th at Mulberry Creek Rehab Center in Martinsville, VA

There will not be a formal service for Mrs. Slaughter.

Geneva was born December 30, 1946 to the late James Benton and Lucille King Benton in Rockingham County. She was employed by Morehead Hospital as a housekeeper.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Roger K. Slaughter (Cindy) and Johnny Wesley Slaughter (April); numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and one niece; brother, James “Leon” Benton (Marie); ex-husband, Roger Lee Slaughter.

Preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Ann Slaughter.
