Gaynell Bevins Maynard, 77, of 719 Circle Drive in Eden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Benny Wood officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 pm at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to Roselawn Memorial Gardens and other times at the residence of her daughter, Sandra Scott.
Mrs. Maynard was born on February 21, 1941 to the late Orville M. Bevins and Imal Blanche Bevins. She was a faithful member at Tri-City Baptist Church. Gaynell enjoyed working in her flowers and quilting in her spare time. She was an avid animal lover and especially loved her Coco. Mrs. Maynard loved her family deeply but most of all she loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvey W. Maynard, Sr.; her daughter, Sherry Mae Maynard Teeters; her grandson, Robert Clinton Teeters, III; six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Harvey Maynard, Jr. and her daughter, Sandra Scott both of Eden; six grandchildren, Chasity, Adam, Jackson, Dylan, Ashley and Jeffrey; four great-grandchildren, Uriah, Delaney, Paisley and Wyatt.
