Gaylord Samuel Worsham, of 306 Merriman Street, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, April 6, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery.
Mr. Worsham was born in Rockingham County, NC, son of the late Aubrey S. and Cora Gauldin Worsham. He was a US Army veteran and the owner and operator of Worsham Signs, before his retirement. Mr. Worsham was a musician, playing the electric bass guitar, which he enjoyed immensely.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Riddle Worsham of the home; two nieces, Kelly Stultz and husband, Lee, and Glenna Carter, both of Eden; and two nephews, Todd Byrd and wife, Gina, of Eden and Ken Worsham and wife, Pauline of Cary.
In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Worsham; and sister, Lorene Byrd.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 pm) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
