Garnet Hudson Darnell

Garnet Hudson Darnell, 84, passed away Tuesday evening, June 12, 2012, at Morehead Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 15, at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Darnell was born August 13, 1927 in Rockingham County, NC, daughter of the late Sam and Ruth Gilley Hudson.

She is survived by her son, Gary Darnell and wife, Pat, of Eden; two grandchildren, Jason Darnell and wife, Brent of Greensboro and Richie Darnell and wife, Farrah of Eden; five great-grandchildren, Cade, Jed and Marti Darnell and Kinley and Addison Darnell; brother-in-law, Edd Thompson of Eden; sister-in-law, Maxine Hudson of Eden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Darnell; son, Larry Darnell; brother, Booker Hudson; and two sisters, Alles Farmer and Mary Thompson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of Gary and Pat Darnell, 1989 River Chase in Eden.

In lieu of flowers the family gratefully requests that memorial contributions may be made to Osborne Baptist Church, 326 E. Stadium Drive, Eden, NC 27288.
