Garland Junior Priddy

Garland Junior Priddy, 71, of 117 Murray Drive, passed away Monday afternoon, August 13, 2012 at Avante Nursing Center in Reidsville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, August 16, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery.

Mr. Priddy was born May 20, 1941 in Stokes County, NC; son of the late William Cornelius and Vina Mabe Priddy. He was a US Navy veteran and a retiree of Sara Lee Corporation. Mr. Priddy was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dean Priddy of Morehead Nursing Center; son, Tracy Priddy of Chatham, VA; eight sisters, Ruby Tuggle of Mocksville, Clarice Belton of Mayodan, Margie Shelton of Madison, Gail Priddy of Mayodan, Doris Bunker of Mt. Airy, Dianne Collins of Madison, Glenda Shelton of Mayodan and Maxine Hylton of Sandy Ridge; two brothers, Talmadge Priddy of Eden, and Billy Priddy of Sandy Ridge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elmer Priddy.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his brother, Talmadge Priddy, 249 Meeks Road in Eden.
