Fred Emory Bowman, Jr.

Fred Emory Bowman, Jr., 70 of Eden, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:30AM at The Morehead-Fair House in Eden with Military Honors on the Lawn. The family will receive friends at other times at 212 Ray St, Eden.

Fred was born November 26, 1954 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Fred Bowman, Sr., and Patsy Ray Hundley. He served his country in the US NAVY. Fred worked as a spinner for Karastan until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Fred loved his dogs, Cookie and Buckwheat. He was always happy spending time with his grandkids, four-wheeling and having fun.

Surviving are his children, Richard Bowman of Eden, Lara Rios (Jamie) of Eden, Bradley Stone (Rita) of Eden, Zackrey Fredericks of Eden; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Bowman of Eden; sisters, Risa Bowman of Eden and Christy Bowman of Pelham.

In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his lifetime partner, Lynn Stone; granddaughter, Kenley Stone; and brother, Michael Bowman.

The family would like to thank his caretaker, Sheri Clark, for her care and compassion. They would also like to thank the employees of AuthoraCare Hospice.
