Stoneville

Frank Mason Hopkins, Jr., 65 of Stoneville, N.C., left us here on April 2nd, 2026, to go to the best possible place ever. He is Healed and at Peace!

There will be no formal service.

He is the oldest son of Frank Hopkins, Sr., and Peggy Jones Hopkins. He is survived by his wife, April N. Hopkins of the home. He has one son, Frank Hopkins, III, and five grandchildren; brother, Walter Ellington, two nephews, Casey and Jesse, two nieces, Hanna and Tolana; one great-niece, Marley and one great-nephew, Levi. His aunts and uncles loved him so much, as well as many other family members.

Frank was predeceased by his father, Frank M. Hopkins, Sr., and his brother, David H. Hopkins, as well as two aunts, two uncles, and his grandparents.

Frank was a 1978 graduate of Stoneville High School with twelve years of perfect attendance. He drove a school bus and the activity bus and was proud of all of his achievements. Frank started out working at Hwy 14 Fish Camp in Eden and continued there for many years. He worked at Shoney’s for a while, also. He worked at Winn Dixie on Hwy 770 for over ten years until they closed. Within a month he got a job at Food Lion. He was your friendly neighborhood meat cutter. Frank had a lot of people follow him from one store to the other because he was nice, helpful, and skilled at his cutting meat. He also cleaned two churches locally in Eden for over twenty years.

Frank and April were both thankful for the great medical care he received in the last three years.
