Frances Rivers Reid

Frances Rivers Reid, age 88 of  Eden passed away on Monday July 23, 2018 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A Memorial service will be held 11 am Thursday at Episcopal Church of The Epiphany. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall.

Miss. Reid was born December 2, 1929 in Philidephia, PA to the late Alford and Lydia Sutliff Reid.  She was a member of Episcopal Church of the Epiphany and retired from E.I. Dupont.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were brother, Henry J. Reid; sisters, Ruth Reid Sherwood, Emma Reid Hayworth, Dorothy Reid McBride and Mildred Reid Ferguson.

Surviving are niece, Janice Smith (Wayne); nephews, Steve Sherwood (Jo-an) and Joe Sherwood (Mary); cousins, Linda Funderburk, Mary Ann Hyler, Betty Sawyers and Patricia Ball; sister-in-law, Shirley Reid; special great, great nephews, Will and Steven Dallas; special friends, Mike and Kathy Stephens; numerous nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be offered to Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Columbarium Fund, 538 Henry Street, Eden, NC 27288.
