Frances Kay Jefferson Sanders

Frances Kay Jefferson Sanders, 69, of 444 Washburn Avenue in Eden, passed away, Monday morning, September 28, 2015 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, October 1, at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Sanders was born April 16, 1946 in Rockingham County, NC to the late William Jefferson and Myrtle Rumbley Jefferson. She loved to watch NASCAR and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of her favorite things was to spend time with her family at Bug's Island Lake.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Sanders Howell; son, Timmy Sanders and girlfriend, Donna McClung; former son-in-law, Doug Howell; two grandchildren, Beth Leeann Howell and Brittany Nicole Sanders; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Douglas Howell, Hunter Criner, Railey Criner, and Liza Jane Harris; and brother, Charles Jefferson of Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Sanders and her sister, Margaret Crawford. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, 1 to 1:45 PM at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to the cemetery.
