Fonda Lou Jones Gantt

Fonda Lou Jones Gantt, 83 of Eden, passed away Monday, November 2, 2026 at Ancora Compassionate Care’s Gibson House.

There will be no services per the families wishes.

Fonda was born May 5, 1943 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Paul Jones and Marcella Spain Jones. She worked at Morehead Memorial Hospital for 40 years and at Martinsville Hospital in the billing department for 5 years. She loved going to the beach and would take multiple trips a year with her husband, Lonnie. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, Lonnie Gantt; sons, Greg Murphy (Jody), rusty Murphy (Ashley); stepdaughter, Bridgett Snody (Frankie); grandchildren, Caleb Wade, Adam Murphy, Luke Murphy, Savannah Murphy, Emilee Jones, Travis Snody, Austyn Snody; brother, Jerome Woods (Barbara); sister, Sadona Boulding (C.V.); sisters-in-law, Kim Slaughter, and Robin Hill (Dan).

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Rockingham County (Ancora Compassionate Care), Mary Barrett, Crystal Jones, Allie and Tammy for their special care.
