Floyd Curtis Thacker

Floyd Curtis Thacker, 76, of Eden, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at The Gibson House in Wentworth, NC.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 4 pm – 6 pm at Fair Funeral Home, 432 Boone Road, Eden.  Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 2 pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Ashley Loop Road, Reidsville, NC.  The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Richard Thacker, 524 Bryant St, Eden. 

Floyd was born July 12, 1946 in Henry County, VA., to the late Samuel Curtis and Florence Cox Thacker.  He worked for Vanier Graphics before continuing his career with Major Business Forms as a collator operator.

He is survived by his two children; daughter, Tracey Lynn Thacker Wagoner and husband, Gerald of Madison and son, Richard Thacker of Eden; 5 grandchildren, Brooke Wagoner, Erin Wagoner, Brandon Hailey, Felicity Thacker and Nathan Thacker; dear friend, Jesse Tate of Greensboro; friend, Amber (Richard) Ramey; niece, Tammy Tate of Asheboro, NC.; and his Church Street Station Family.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Marie Gibbs Thacker; his sister, Linda Florence Thacker Tate; his adopted mom, Velva Lumpkins of Eden; aunt, Dolly Thacker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Rockingham County Gibson House. 2150 NC HWY 65, Reidsville, NC  27320.
