Florence Louise King Meeks, 93, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Golden Living Nursing Center in Martinsville, VA.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 19, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in Mt. View Cemetery.

Mrs. Meeks was born August 22, 1918 in Henry County, VA, daughter of the late John and Dora Turner King. She was a member of Aiken Summit Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Meeks retired from E. I. Dupont, Inc.

She is survived by her two sons, Randolph Lee Meeks of Axton, VA and Larry David Meeks of Ridgeway, VA; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Meeks; grandchild, Dewayne Meeks; two brothers; and three sisters.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at 1129 Morgan Ford Road in Ridgeway, VA.
