Faye Roberts

Faye Roberts, 95, formerly of Eden passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in Greensboro at her Carolina Estates home.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Fair Funeral Home in Eden. The family will receive friends immediately following the service for a reception at the Morehead-Fair House, 420 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288. Private burial will be later in the day at Roberts Family Cemetery on Rob Tom Road in Eden.

Faye was born December 18, 1928 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late William Garner Roberts and Anne Price Roberts. Faye was a graduate of Leaksville High School, class of 1944. She then received her Bachelor’s degree from Woman’s College of University of North Carolina in 1948. Years later, Faye earned her Masters of Education from the University of Florida at Gainesville. Faye was a member of local and State of North Carolina Alpha Delta Kappa chapter, serving as President. Over her career, she was a teacher and guidance counselor at Morehead High School in Eden, serving as Chair of the Guidance Department. She was loved by her family, Alpha Delta Kappa Sisters, and friends.

Surviving are her nieces, Laura Steen of Greensboro and Beth Roberts of Thomasville; nephews, Michael Roberts of Burlington, Edward Benton of Greenville, and Gregory Benton of Sherrills Ford; sister-in-law, Betty Roberts.

In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by her sisters, Joan R. Benton and Marjorie Roberts; brother William G. Roberts, Jr.
