Fannie Billings Alyff

Fannie Billings Alyff, 77, of 59 Westover Dr. in Bassett, Va. passed away early Saturday morning, July 2, 2011 at her home.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday , July 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Meeks Cemetery in Eden. Mrs. Alyff was born in Rockingham County on August 8, 1933 to the late Spencer and Marjorie Kirkman Owens.She was retired from DuPont in Martinsville, Va. and attended the Osborne Baptist Church. She is survived by her Husband, Jerry Madison Alyff of the home; Stepsons, Kevin Alyff of Eden, NC and Paul Madison Alyff of Atlanta, Ga; Brothers, Donnie Owens of Eden, NC and George Owens of Illinois; Sisters, Marie Yost and Phyllis Gibson of Eden, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Billings and daughter, Pamela Billings. No formal visitation will be held.
