Evon Booth Jones

Evon Booth Jones, 81, of Cascade, VA, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Sovah Health in Danville, VA.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Danview Cemetery in Eden, NC.

Evon was born April 18, 1941, in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Willis M. Booth and Belah Barrow Booth. She was a member of Cascade United Methodist Church. Evon was a charter member of Cascade Ruritan Club Ladies Auxillary and the Cascade Community Center. She retired from the medical field after many years of service. Evon loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Deborah Jones Craig of Cascade, VA and Nathan L Jones, Jr. of Nolensville, TN; grandchildren, Jason Craig, Taylor Jones (Rachel Sharlene), Natalie Jones and Nicole Jones; great-grandchildren, Landon Craig, Leynzi Craig, Lauryn Craig, and Leah Craig; brothers, Ronnie R Booth (Shirley) of Eden, NC, Garvin Booth (Julia) of Axton, VA, Norman Hundley of Eden, NC; brother-in-law, James Bush of Eden, NC; sister-in-law, Jeanna Dameron of Greensboro, NC.

In addition to her parents, Evon is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Nathan L. Jones, Sr.; great-granddaughter, Lezlea Craig; brothers, James Booth, Carl Booth; sisters, Gaynelle Booth McCollum, Dorothy Booth Bush, Doraine Booth Shropshire.
