Evola "Dolly" Talbott Hopkins

Evola "Dolly Talbott Hopkins age 89 passed away Saturday evening February 14, 2015 at Morehead Nursing Center. The funeral service will be held Tuesday February 17th, 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.

Mrs. Hopkins was born June 6, 1925 to the late Roer and Maude Talbott in Draper, NC. She was a life time member of Spray Baptist Church where she was very active. At her church she was a member of Widows for Christ, she taught sunday school and sent get well cards with themes designed to cheer the folks up and make them laugh. She regularly sent donations to support orphans. She worked in real estate for years. At one time she owned her own real estate agency with her husband and later worked for Century 21, and retired after working for Holland & Marsh. She also did book keeping for Rockingham County Realtors.

Surviving is her daughter Jane Grubb of Eden, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law Mary Hopkins and a special friend Henry Cox. Preceding her in death along with her parents are her husband Elmo Hopkins, two sons Joe and Randy Hopkins, four sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Fair Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her daughter, 201 Farrell St. in Eden.
