Evelyn Williams Smith

Evelyn Williams Smith, 90, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 16, 2019, at Brian Center Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Eden.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 20, at Danview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 - 1:45 PM at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to the cemetery for the service.

Mrs. Smith was born February 27, 1929 in Leaksville, NC,  to the late Joseph Velt Williams and Lilly Denny Williams.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Draper.  Evelyn enjoyed watching television (especially her soap opera's), cooking for her family and making her home a loving place to visit.

She is survived by her son, Ted Smith and wife, Wendy;  three grandchildren, Shane Smith, Kim Thacker and Courtney Boniface;  three great-grandchildren;  and her special friend, Frances Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Edward Smith and daughter, Susan McCanless.
