Estelle Cassity Salmons Comer

Estelle Cassity Salmons Comer, 88, of Summerfield passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, November 6, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.

Estelle was born January 21, 1935, in Ruffin, NC, to the late Archie Whitfield Salmons, Sr. and Mary Page Salmons. She was a member of New Lebanon Christian Church. Estelle was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Wichita Falls, TX. She worked as a machine operator at American Tobacco until her retirement. Estelle loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Phillip Comer of the home; children, Donna Daniel of Summerfield and Felix Lewis (Helen) of Eden; brother, A. W. Salmons, Jr. (Barbara) of Cascade, VA; sisters, Betty S. Dishmon of Eden and Mary S. Knowles of Amherst, VA; three grandchildren, Maria Lewis, Jennifer Smith, Melissa Meadows (Chris); numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; granddog, Lily Grace.

In addition to her parents, Estelle is preceded in death by her son, Wade Lewis; grandchild, Georgia Lewis; son-in-law, Carlton Daniel; sisters, Sallie S. Lillard and Pricie S. Allen; beloved pets, Lady and Cissie.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Rockingham County for their care and support.
