Elizabeth Arlene Reed Walker, 83, formerly of Dishmon Loop in Eden, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at UNC Rehab and Nursing Care Center.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 10th at 11:00am in the Fair Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.
Elizabeth was born July 23, 1939 to the late John Albert Reed and Emma C Hogamyer in Allegheny Co., Maryland. Elizabeth was a member of the Fieldcrest Road Church of God where she loved to attend. She loved to sing and read her Bible. Along with gardening she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She attended Holmes Bible College in Greenville, SC. She formally owned and operated Mom’s Garden Angel Florist in the Draper section of Eden. She loved to participate in several local community activities such as the Halloween Hayrides for the Draper Elementary School.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Tammy Kallam Fowler (Jack), Angela Kallam Taylor, Marie Kallam Dunn (Kevin); step children, Cindy Carrol (Keith), Carolyn Vanderwerf (David), Debbie Parker, Janet Holt (Mike), Kenny Walker (Donelle); grandchildren, Heavenly Casey (Brian), Jaylene LaClair (Bobby), Seth Taylor (Ashley), Spice Taylor, Amber Hutchens (James) Emalee Compton (Bret); step-grandchildren, Carson, McKayla, Meredith, Melissa, Brian, Kevin, Chris, and Bregg and an abundance of great grandchildren.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by husband’s; Bobby Benjamin Kallam, the father of her children and Robert Marshall Walker; five sisters and three brothers.
The family would like to thank the staff of UNC Rockingham Rehab and Nursing Care for the love and care they provided for Elizabeth.
