Edward "Buddy" Lewis Williams, 81, of Martinsville, VA passed away Friday, April 25th at his residence.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, April 29th at 11:00am in the Mountain View Cemetery at 711 Church Street, Ridgeway, VA. Edward will lie in repose for those wishing to pay their respect and sign the book at Fair Funeral Home, Monday, April 28th from 12:00-4:00pm.
Edward "Buddy" was born in Ridgeway, VA, October 14, 1943 to the late Fred Wilber Williams and Sallie Miller Williams. He was a graduate of Drewry Mason High School in1965. He retired from the Rockingham County Government in Wentworth where he worked as an Office Supply Manager. Edward was once employed at Hughes Aircraft Co. in Culver City, CA. He was a member of Shiloh Pilot Association and Aircraft Owners Association. He loved to play golf and was a member of the Grasshoppers Golf Club. He and his friends from the golf club traveled together playing golf and became like family. Edward definitely loved to fly.
Edward is leaving behind a loving wife, Nancy Rizer Williams, daughters, Deborah Williams of Georgia and Patricia Williams of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Hiltrud Williams; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; Fred, Ernest and Leroy Williams; two sisters, Viola Nelson and Annie Mae Roberts.
