Earl Boone Johnson (a.k.a. Buddy) passed away suddenly at his home in Stuart, VA on August 7, 2015 at the age of 62. Earl is predeceased by his mother, Kathleen Boone Johnson (12/19/1964) his father, William W. Johnson (10/15/1975), his brother William C. Johnson (KIA Vietnam 05/29/1967), and his Grandmother, affectionately called ?��Ǩ?�Ma Boone?��Ǩ�� of Eden, NC..

Earl is survived by his only sister, Joann Johnson-Valainis, Brother-in-law Eric Valainis, two nieces, Amber Valainis Zaharoff and Brooke Valainis as well as a great-niece Summer Zaharoff and a great nephew, Cameron Zaharoff. All of Walkersville, MD.

Earl was born in Leaksville, NC, January 27, 1953. He spent his youth growing up between Walkertown, NC and Eden. He was a graduate of Morehead High School and entered the United States Army shortly after graduation and spent a good portion of his adult life in the Military. Earl re-enlisted immediately following 9/11 and served in Iraq as a Tactical Communication Specialist.

Earl was a gun smith by trade and was owner of ET Reloading. He studied gunsmithing at Montgomery Tech, Troy, NC and graduated in 1985.

Earl was an amazing man, a Patriot, a master of mechanics and gunsmithing. He was a member of the American Legion William Johnson Post 534 of Eden, NC.. He will be fondly remembered and missed by his sister and the friends that truly knew him.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 pm Friday, October 2, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Eden, NC.

Friends will be received at the Morehead-Fair House following the graveside service.
