Dr. Gerald Eugene Conn

Dr. Gerald Eugene Conn, 78, of 484 Liveoak Road in Reidsville, passed away Friday morning, January 14, 2011 at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 17 at Fellowship Baptist Church with burial to follow at 3 PM in Fairview Cemetery in Roanoke, VA. Dr. Conn was born May 1, 1932 in Roanoke, VA, son of the late Dalvin and Nellie Thompson Conn. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was in ministry for 51 years. Dr. Conn was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Delphine Parks Conn of the home; five children, Vicky Thrift and husband, Steve, Dianne Harrel, Michael Conn and wife, Dixie, Judy Clary and husband, Ken, and Debbie Slaughter and husband, Jon; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
