Dorothy Faye Haynes Hale, 88, passed away early Friday morning, November 18, 2016, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, Novemer 20, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery on Hwy 700 in Mayfield.
Dorothy was born September 21, 1928 in Rockingham County, to the late Isaac Lester Haynes and Carrie Shelton Haynes. She was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills and a long-time member of Trinity Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her three sons, Jack Hale and wife, Joyce of Reidsville, Ken Hale and wife, Cynthia of Kernersville, and Tim Hale and wife, Michelle of Eden; daughter, Pam Sheehan and husband David Hardy of Eden; eight grandchildren, Allison H. Fox of Winston-Salem, Jamie Hale of Kernersville, Ashlane Hale of Boulder, CO, Jeri Lynn Meadows of Eden, and Dustin Hale of Raleigh, Jerry Duggins, Stacey Duggins and Tasha Crawford, all of Eden; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Patsy Earles of Danville, VA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Jackson Hale; four brothers and three sisters.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tim Hale, 2137 E. Stadium Drive in Eden.
