Doris Lawson Massey

Doris Jean Lawson Massey, 74, of Ridgeway, VA, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Eden Rehabilitation.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Mt. View Cemetery in Ridgeway. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Fair Funeral Home in Eden.

Doris was born February 9, 1950 to the late Willie Lawson and Mary Lucy Higgs Lawson. She was a member of Temple of Faith in Ridgeway. Doris worked as a cook at the Brian Center (now Eden Rehabilitation) until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark Massey (Amy) of Stoneville, Lisa Massey Jones (Jeremy) of Eden, Billie Jean Massey of Ridgeway; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three nephews and one niece.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Massey; brothers, James Lawson and Michael Lawson; sister, Marie Clifton.
