Doris Keaton Coleman

Doris Elizabeth Keaton Coleman, 86 of Stoneville, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Eden Rehabilitation and Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Riverside Church of the Living God, 540 Chaney Loop, Stoneville, NC 27048. Burial will follow at Stoneville Municipal Cemetery.

Doris was born February 6, 1939 in Leaksville, North Carolina, to the late Rev. William Elbert Keaton and Minnie Hyler Keaton Gilley. She was a member of Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Doris worked as an inspector for Stoneville Furniture until her retirement. She will join her loving husband and best friend at Stoneville Cemetery, where she waits and longs to be with her God and Savior and her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Wayne Clifton (Connie), Dean Clifton (Sandra), Frances Gillespie (Clark), and Kay Stevens (Jim), Gary Clifton; stepson, Tommy Coleman; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; stepsisters, Debbie Booth, Muriel Jean Hoarsley; special nephews, Farron Keaton and Randy Keaton.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her loving husband, Woodrow Coleman; children, Sue Turner, Jimmy Clifton, Mark Clifton; and brother, Powell Jr. Keaton.
