Dora Virginia Odell Price, 85, of 355 Center Meeting House Rd, Stoneville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Gibson House in Reidsville.
A ceremony of life will be held at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, Monday, November 24, 2025, at 2pm with burial following at Floyd Baptist Church in Eden. Visitation will be held from 4-6pm Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Fair Funeral Home in Eden.
Dora was born November 26, 1939, in Rockingham County to the late Pryor and Lelia Patterson Odell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby King Price, daughter, Bonnie P. Boyd, grandsons, Joshua Martin and Kenneth Alcorn, and three brothers and four sisters.
Dora was a member of Floyd Baptist Church in Eden when she was able to attend. She loved her family more than anything and wanted them to become saved and go to Heaven with her. Her favorite past times were reading her Bible daily, watching old tv shows, talking with her sisters on the phone, and coloring beautiful pictures. Dora worked as a textile worker for many years before she retired.
Surviving are her daughters, Virginia Alcorn, husband Bobby Joe of Eden, Kay Wray, husband Frankie of Stoneville, Janet Goins, husband Donnie of Stoneville, and Lisa Stevens of Stoneville; grandson, Keith Alcorn, wife Heather of Eden; and two granddaughters, Dee Wood, husband Jimmy of Willow Springs and Allison Jones of Willow Springs. Dora had 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gracie Carter of Eden and Shelby Ferris Carter, husband James of Eden; and one brother, Harold Ferris of Madison. Also surviving are special nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family is receiving friends and family at Lisa Stevens’ home, 177 Snead Rd, Stoneville. The family would like to extend many thanks to Eden Rehabilitation and especially Gibson House and Ancora Compassionate Care. Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses that took care of her in her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be send to Gibson House of Reidsville, PO Box 2150, Wentworth, NC 27375.
