Diane Gover Turner

Diane Gover Turner, 77, of Martinsville, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Sovah Health – Martinsville Hospital.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 at 1pm at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church Cemetery.

Diane was born August 8, 1947 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Lewis Nelson Gover and Lula Mae Jennings Gover. She was a pianist for many years at Gospel Tabernacle where her father served as pastor. Diane worked at Sealtest for a while. The family owned and operated Turner Ceramic Shop for over 20 years. Diane also worked as a seamstress and sewer in the decorative bedding department at Fieldcrest Mills. Diane enjoyed cooking and raising her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Frederick Lancaster Turner; daughter, Karen Turner Altman, son-in-law, Richard Lee Altman, step children; Audrey M. Hunter, Kathleen Turner and Frederick L. Turner, Jr.; granddaughters, Zoey and Sadie Altman; son, Paul M. Turner, daughter-in-law, Amanda Turner; granddaughters, Katie and Lizzie Turner, grandson, Preston Hilliard.
