David Thill

David Andrew Thill, Sr.,  63, of 1470 Gravel Hill Road in Ruffin, passed away Monday night, March 18, 2019, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

At David's request, there will be no formal service, however, they will receive family and friends at the home of his sister, Dawn Pruitt, at 2891 Worsham Mill Road in Ruffin, Wednesday evening, 5 - 8 PM.

David was born February 18, 1956 in Norfolk, VA, to the late Bobby and Nancy Dillon Pruitt.  He was a professional residential painter and was a member of Osborne Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, David Thill, Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Eden;  daughter, Devita Thill Rakes and husband, Dean, of Stoneville;  three grandchildren, Jakob Andrew Thill, Hayley Brynn Cruise, and Skyler Wray Corum;  sister, Dawn Pruitt and husband, Wes Quesinberry of Ruffin;  and step-brother, Allen Pruitt and wife, Sandy of Ruffin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Virginia Dillon and Taylor and Lucille Pruitt.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the community of Ruffin for their help in caring for David.
