David "Gene" Eugene Pratt

David “Gene” Eugene Pratt, 60 of Eden, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 13, 2026, at High Point Medical Center.

Gene was born November 2, 1965, in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Bailey Pratt, Jr., and Stella Edwards Pratt. He attended Bethel Baptist Church from birth. He enjoyed working in the car business for over twenty-five years, mostly in sales and finance. Gene was an avid UNC sports fan. He loved his cats and taking care of strays.

Surviving are his companion and best friend for 29 years, Kaye Everette; brother, Jonathan Pratt (Brittany); sister, Ann Upchurch (Gary); several nieces and nephews.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Bailey and Stella Pratt.

The family will hold a memorial service at Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, February 28th, at 2pm.
