David Phillip Wilson

David Phillip Wilson, 78, passed away Tuesday morning, July 17, 2018, at UNC-Rockingham Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Eden.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 23, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home, 106 N. High Street in Eden.

Mr. Wilson was born February 26, 1940 in Cascade, VA to the late Percy Franklin Wilson and Sarah Smith Wilson.  He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.

He is survived by his wife, Lalia McDaniel Wilson of the home;  daughter, Amanda Vaughan and husband, Bourke of Greensboro;  two grandchildren, Micah and Jonah Vaughan of Greensboro;  and sisters, Yvonne Adkins of Madison, Peggy Wright of Eden, Diane Wright of McLeansville, and Nancy Callahan of Chicago, IL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lynwood Wilson, Ed Wilson and Paul Wilson;  along with a sister, Barbara Jean Walden.
