David "Mark" Williams

October 31, 1963 — February 18, 2024

David “Mark” Williams, 60, of Reidsville passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at First Church of the Brethren, 730 Church St, Eden, with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 12-1pm, at First Church of the Brethren.

Mark was born October 31, 1963, to Curtis Lee Williams and Sonyual “Sue” Hall Cox. He was a member of the First Church of the Brethren. He was a graduate of Reidsville High School, class of 1982. Mark worked for 38 years at Food Lion before going to work with the Rockingham County School System in Child Nutrition. Mark loved the Dallas Cowboys and was an avid UNC Tarheel fan. He enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, and loved to dance. Mostly, he loved his family and spending time with them, whether it be at the beach, cookouts, or game nights.

Surviving are his loving wife, Gina Griggs Williams; children, Jordan Houchins and wife, Cortney, Holli Carmichael and husband, Mitch, Brittni Ward and husband, Stacy, Jordan “Ty” Williams and fiancé, Laura Clark; grandkids, Lacey and Griffin Houchins; mother, Sonyual “Sue” Cox; brothers, Brian Williams and Jason Williams; father-in-law, Bobby Griggs; several nieces; faithful pet, Brody.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Lee Williams; brother, Gregg Williams; mother-in-law, Shirley Griggs.
