David Lee Wilson

David Lee Wilson, 83, of Ridgeway, VA, passed on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Sovah Health Martinsville Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 11am Friday, February 24, 2023, at Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA. Mr. Wilson will lie-in-repose from Noon – 5pm Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home in Eden, NC. Due to COVID concerns, the family asks that visitors refrain from coming to the home.

David was born January 8, 1940, in Henry County, VA, to the late Edward L. Wilson and Ethel Harris Wilson. He was a member of Church of Christ in Ridgeway, VA. David worked in the knitting department at Sara Lee until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, Hot Rods, and motorcycles.

David is survived by his wife, Shirley Mitchell Wilson; son, David Michael “Mike” Wilson; brother, James Wilson (Becky); sisters, Betty Jean Simpson, Mary Ann Burgess (Richard), Louise Dodson, Glenda Trent (Mike); special family, Vernon Midkiffs.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by brothers, Robert Wilson, Junior Wilson; sisters, Hazel Compton, Madeline Price.
