David Lane Moseley, 52, formerly of 400 South Chapman St. in Greensboro, passed away Sunday morning at Hospice Home of Rockingham County, in Wentworth, NC. The funeral service will be held Tuesday January 4th, 6 p.m. at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. David Moseley was born September 5th, 1958 to David Lester Moseley and Kathryn Lambert in Alamance County. He was a member of Osborne Baptist Church in Eden, NC and graduated highschool from Morehead Senior Highschool in 1976 where he played football. He also attended Rockingham Community College, and Appalachian State University. As a younger youth he played sports at the Eden YMCA and the Eden Boys Club. He was a true blue Tarheel Fan. He loved the beach and liked fishing, reading and crossword puzzles. David was also a carpenter and large construction builder, working for various companies in NC and VA, and then later did home repairs until he became disabled. David fought a courageous battle from a rare liver disease, liver cancer and their complications. David is survived by his mother Kathryn L. Rodgers and Step-Father Bobby Rodgers of Eden, one brother Mark L. Rodgers and wife Lisa of Stoneville, one sister Debbie M. Sloop and husband Tommy of Reidsville, one half-sister Jeanne Paul of Ocean Shores, WA, nephews Dustin Sloop and Jordan Rodgers, nieces Savannah Sloop and Natalie Rodgers, aunt Rebecca Welch, cousin Pam Bouwer and husband Adriaan, special cousin Jason Brown, special pet Cassie and many other cousins. He was preceded in death by his Father, maternal grandparents: Arvil and Kate Lambert, and paternal grandparents Lester and Hilda Moseley, and one uncle Robert Welch. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Hospice Home for their love and care.
