David Harold Roach

October 12, 1949 — April 13, 2016

David Harold Roach, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.  He was born in High Point, NC on October 12, 1949 to Christine Linthicum Roach and the late Harold Edward Roach.  He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of First Baptist Church where he was a past Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Sanctuary Choir.  David was employed by Cargo Transporter Company of Claremont, NC.  He had a zest for life and enjoyed cooking, fly fishing and singing.  David loved his family deeply but most of all he loved his grandchildren.  
 
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Bowman and Jonathan Esser officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
 
Left to cherish David’s memory is his wife of 34 years, Susan Roach of the home; his children, Michael D. Roach and wife, Kris of Sophia, NC, Lisa Estep and husband, Steve of Lexington, SC and Jonathan Esser and wife, Kim of Canton, GA; grandchildren, Emily, Mackenzie and Natalie Roach; Steven, Catherine and Caroline Estep; Reagan and Sarah Esser; mother, Christine Roach of Jamestown, NC; sister, Joyce Bailey and husband, Dennis of High Point, NC; brother, Joel Roach of Jamestown, NC; special cousin, Richard Roach of Jamestown and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
 
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of David to First Baptist Church, 533 Greenwood Street, Eden, NC  27288.
