David Eugene Richardson, Jr.

David Eugene Richardson, Jr., age 47, of 35 Peaceful Lane in Bassett, VA passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2019.

A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday evening, February 20, 2019 in Fair Funeral Home Chapel with a private burial to follow at a later date.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (5 – 6 pm) in the Chapel. 

David was born in Rockingham County on April 22, 1971 to David Eugene Richardson, Sr. and Jennifer Wade Mcgrady.  One of three Siblings, David grew up in the Eden area and enjoyed working on cars. Throughout his life, he lived for the thrill of street racing, admiring and working on classic cars, the excitement of watching NASCAR racing and he especially loved the Dallas Cowboys.  David enjoyed living life to the fullest, you could say he was the “Life of the party” making others laugh and have happiness throughout their day.  He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and friends.  If you did not know David, you have missed out on a great person that brought laughter and joy to everyone that surrounded him.

Left to cherish his memory, David is survived by his daughter, Kristin Richardson and fiancé, Roberto Reyes of Eden, NC; his father, David E. Richardson, Sr of Bassett, VA; his mother, Jennifer Wade Mcgrady of Bassett, VA; his brother, Michael Richardson of Bassett, VA; his sister, Kim Moore of Bassett, VA and his special friend, Michelle Doyle of Eden.

The family request, no flowers, in lieu of flowers all contributions may be directed to Fair Funeral Home in person or by mail to P.O. Box 337 Eden, NC 27289 to help with David’s final expenses.
