Dana Ray Ferguson

Dana Ray Ferguson age 73 of Eden, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Gibson House (Hospice). 

A Memorial service will be held 11am, Saturday, February 20th at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. A.C. Brock officiating.  Full Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard.

Dana was born September 29, 1947 in Leaksville, NC (Eden) to the late Walter Ray Ferguson and Lorene Coone Ferguson.  He was a graduate of Morehead High School Class of 1965 and Graduated from Kings Business College in 1968.  Dana served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He later was a truck driver for Fleetmaster Trucking.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by brothers, Kim and Jan Ferguson. Surviving are wife, Mary Stone Ferguson of the home; son, Joel Ray Ferguson of Eden; step-sons, Brad Clark and wife Michele of Mt. Juliet, TN and Bryce Clark and friend Ashley of Nashville, TN ; step-grand-daughter, Rylan Clark and step-grand-son, Stone Clark both of Mt. Juliet, TN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Angela and Billy Shumate; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Susie and Wink Fargis; sister-in-law, Kathy Ferguson; numerous nieces and nephews and his feline cat , Molly.

Memorial contributions may be offered to the Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard, C/O Commander Johnny White, 4655 Price Road, Eden, NC 27288.
