Dakota Charles Wingate

Dakota Charles Wingate, 22, of Madison passed away on Sunday December 18, 2022, at his home.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, NC. Visitation with family will be held prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.

Dakota loved animals and enjoyed spending time in nature, especially on the beach or by the river. His hobbies included tending to his plants and collecting stones and crystals. He loved working with children and caring for his pets, but most of all he loved his family. His goofy personality and contagious smile will be greatly missed. 

Dakota was preceded in death by his father, Charles Anthony Wingate.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Wendy Hammock Wingate of Madison, NC; his brother, Christopher Wayne Meeks of Mayodan, NC; his sisters, Tigra Lynn Collins of Madison, NC, Chelsea Nicole Wingate of Salem, VA, Jessica Leigh Wingate of Reidsville, NC; his nephew, Raven Meeks and his nieces, Christina Meeks, Karleigh Davis, and Charlotte Shelton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to the Rockingham County Humane Society, 205 Boone Road, Eden, NC 27288.
