Daisy "Ruth" Heffinger

Daisy "Ruth" Heffinger, 78, passed away Wednesday evening, March 22, 2017, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, March 26, at Friendly Worship Center with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (2 - 3 PM) at the church and other times at the home of her niece, Lisa Mabe, 14679 NC Hwy 87 North in Eden.

Ruth was born July 4, 1938 in North Spray section of Eden, NC, to the late James Willie Heffinger and Sallie Betty King Heffinger.  She was a member of Friendly Worship Center.

Ruth is survived by her sisters, June H. Robertson, Polly H. Anderson, and Ann H. Wilson of Eden;  numerous nieces and nephews;  and her church family of Friendly Worship Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Sunshine Bryant and Elizabeth Currie;  and brothers, James G. Heffinger and William Hughes Heffinger.
