Cora Moore Brammer

Cora Moore Brammer, 94, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and wife, passed away early Monday morning, December 31, 2018, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Frith Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (2 - 3 pm) at Fair Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brammer was born June 24, 1924 in Henry County, VA, to the late Robert B. Moore and Effie Dunn Moore Frith.  She was a member of First Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Brammer Smith of the home;  six grandchildren, Michelle Carter and husband, Jeff,  Diane Ore,  Danny Ore,  Keith Barnes and wife, Jennifer,  and Chris Barnes and wife, Amy, all of Eden and Bobby Smith and wife, Erin, of Mooresville;  step-granddaughter, Chastity Smith of Eden;  12 great-grandchildren;  one great-great-grandchild;  sisters, Mary Joyce and husband, Jerry, Shirley Banks and husband, Leroy, and Dovie Dixon, all of Eden;  brothers, Amos Moore of Reidsville, Ed Frith and wife, Donnita of Bristol, VA, and Dave Frith of Eden;  special nephew, Jerry Moore and wife, Lisa of Eden;  and special friend, Dennis Caillouet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonzie "Lonnie" Brammer; daughter, Janice Brammer Barnes;  son-in-law, Charlie Smith, III;  two sisters, Lucy Knowles and Betty Gatewood;  and four brothers, Jerry, Henry, and George Moore and Jimmy Frith.
