Clifford Jay Weddle

Clifford Jay Weddle, 84, of 261 Westerly Park Road in Eden, passed away Monday evening, July 25, 2016, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 28, at Spray Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Weddle was born October 22, 1931 in Floyd, Virginia to the late Isaac Perry Weddle and Edna Alcorn Weddle.  He was a member of Spray Baptist Church and a retired electrician.

He is survived by his sons, Clifford Joseph Weddle (Karen) of Murrell's Inlet, SC and Mark Stephen Weddle (Len) of Sun City, CA;  daughter, Mary Weddle Collins of Murrell's Inlet, SC;  six grandchildren;  seven great-grandchildren;  and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Fulton Weddle;  brothers, Max Oliver Weddle and James Elton Weddle.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
