Cleatis Cassell Chilton

Cleatis Cassell Chilton, 84, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 11, 2010 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 14, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Chilton was born July 12, 1925 in Spray, NC (now Eden), daughter of the late Austin and Maggie Clifton Cassell. She was a member of King Memorial Baptist Church and a former employee of Fieldcrest Mills. Surviving is her daughter, Vanessa Stewart and husband, Bobby of Eden; her three sons, John Chilton, Zach Chilton and wife, Dawn, and Jimmy Chilton, all of Eden; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Lolene Collins, Frances Goins, and Dale Setliff, all of Eden.
