Christine Huff Thompson

Christine Huff Thompson, age 94 formerly of NC Hwy 135 and more recently of Brookdale Eden,  passed away on Tuesday morning at UNC Rockingham Health Care (Morehead) in Eden, surrounded by her loving family.

***** A graveside service will be held on****** Friday***** at 11 a.m. at Overlook Cemetery. The family will receive friends on ****Thursday***** evening from 6-8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 921 Klyce Street.

Mrs. Thompson was born July 14, 1923 in the Leaksville section of Eden to the late Andy Huff and Mary James Huff.  She was a charter member of Early Ave. Baptist Church and a graduate of Leaksville High School Class of 1942.  She loved her family and especially taking care of her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents was her husband Paul W. Thompson, Sr. and brother, Howard Huff.

Surviving are sons; Paul W. Thompson, Jr. and wife Harriet of Danville; Gary Thompson and wife Kim of Eden and daughter, Carolyn Thompson Hodges and husband Hugh of Eden; grandchildren, Margie Varhol and husband Todd of Mt. Dora, FL., Beth Hodges and Hunter Boyte , Michael Hodges and wife Andrea and Reid Thompson all of Eden; great grandson, Alex Varhol.
