Charles Sidney Nelson

Charles Sidney Nelson passed to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at UNC Nursing Facility.

 A private family celebration of life will take place at a later time.

Charles was born on December 2, 1953 in Graying, MI. He moved to Florida at the age of sixteen and lived there until he became a North Carolina resident in 2012. He was a hard worker who loved NASCAR and classic cars. More than anything he loved his family.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Judy; of Eden; his daughter Kimberly Nelson and husband Mike of Webster, Florida; son, Jonathan Hill of Brooksville, Florida; step daughter Kim Bunker and husband Dennis of Eden, North Carolina; sister Jenna Helm and husband David of Lakeland, Florida; and brother, Leo Nelson of Seffner, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Nelson; father, Leon Nelson; step daughter Tammi Romine; two brothers and one sister.

He was a loving grandfather to eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

His wife Judy feels very blessed to have been loved by such a wonderful man for over thirty years.
