Charles Dunlap

Charles Colin Dunlap, age 60, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, March 1, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital. 

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 12:00, noon on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Clearview Baptist Church in Mayodan with Pastor Bob Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. 

A second memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday Afternoon, March 8, 2019 at Wentworth Presbyterian Church on NC Hwy 65 in Wentworth.  The family will receive friends directly following the service. 

Charles was born on March 26, 1958 in Rockingham County to Charles Dunlap and the late Rummell Johnson Dunlap.  He was of the Christian faith and had the kind soul that would draw people to him.  Charles was an avid Scy-Fi “movie buff” and an animal lover, especially to his own, Willow and Wolf.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 12 years, Ellen of the home; his son, Charles Dunlap of Eden; daughter, Christy Dunlap of California; his father, Charles Dunlap; three grandchildren; his three brothers, Tommy, Jeff, and Brian Dunlap; and a large extended family.
