Charles Frederick Davis, Sr., 84, of Stoneville passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Ancora Compassionate Care, formerly Hospice of Rockingham County, in Reidsville.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Shiloh. Burial will follow the service at Stoneville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm, at Centenary United Methodist Church.
Charles was born November 16, 1939, in Stoneville, NC, to the late Fred Bryan Davis and Virginia Burroughs Davis. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He was a former member of Hodgin Memorial United Methodist Church. Charles was a graduate of Stoneville High School, class of 1957. He was also a graduate of Guilford College. Charles spent three years serving his country in the US Army, from 1961-1964. He worked as a corporate training manager for Fieldcrest Cannon, retiring after more than thirty years of service. Charles enjoyed playing and watching golf. He also liked reading the history of WWII and watching the History channel.
Surviving are his wife, Betsy Leake Davis, of the home; son, Charles “Chuck” Davis, Jr. (Lisa); granddaughter, Ashley Danielle Davis; two nephews and one niece.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Ann Davis Craven.
